Today I finally got to take single speed mountain bike out for a quick spin on the mountain. The weather has been so nice lately in the mountains. However we going to experience some rain and snow followed with really cold temperatures within the next days.

Today Mel and I called it a relax day for us. So we drove 1/2 hour to lake Dillon Frisco Marina to spend a chill day on the water. The best part of the day was eating lunch and spending R and R on one of the many small islands on the lake.

Today friends and I went for a big ride touring the whole Vail mountain. All these pictures describe the best moments of the day.

Yesterday Tasha and I went for a late day pre Fall season hike out the back door.

Last night before I went out with some friends I had to throw down some old tricks I learned back in the day.

Big day here in Vail! We got our first snow fall of the season! September 17th 2007. Leaves are turning over, temperatures are cold as..., wearing scarves at work and the snow has made its grand appearance.

Yesterday Melanie and I decided to go to Silverthorne outlet stores to do some shopping. On our way back the was a bad truck accident on Vail Pass. So avoided traffic delays and went to Copper Mountain Resort for some lunch. On our detour back to Vail we got to see some great views of the leaves turnubg over towards Leadville area.
What a treat, Len and Stacia drove up from Denver for some R and R and a little October Fest here in Vail.

Today Melanie and I woke up early and headed over to the small town of Minturn to hike the Notch Mountain trail(13,237). The main reason why hikers hike this trail is for the up front views of the Mount of the Holy Cross(14,oo5). And there right, the mountain behind Mel and I is the primary mountain peak you see from the back bowls of Vail ski mountain. One of the other cool things at the top of Notch Mountain is the rock cabin that has a nice fire place with in it.

Yesterday(Monday) Melanie and I took up a free company golf lesson at the Sonnenalp golf course.

Last Friday was hippie day so we went to the town of Minturn for a little nature hike. Yeah no Marijuana involved!
