Yesterday Melanie and I went for a bike ride to the top of Vail mountain. I also got to demo a 29 inch wheel mountain bike. My thoughts of a 29'er is a good bike for racing and smoking your bro's on straight a ways!
This morning Melanie and I drove 1/2 an hour to go rock climbing in this place past Red Cliff. When we got there everybody and there Mom was climbing every route on the wall. So Melanie and I went back for a lazy day in the Vail Village. We ended up having a awesome lunch at La Bottega right before Mel had to go to work.
My bike ride on Vail mountain really sucked! It seemed like everywhere I went on the bottom half of the front side there was closures because of construction.
After a big day rock climbing yesterday Melanie and I decided to go for a big hike up one of the East Vail trails. We decided to hike up to Booth Lake and brought some of our cooking gear for a nice lunch a top. The most exciting part of the trip was when I saw a mountain lion on the way down from the lake, and no I do not have any pictures of that!
Let the games begin! June 25th and I finally got my lazy ass out to rock climb. The weather was perfect the time of day was right. Melanie and I drove over to the Wolcott rocks to climb a beautiful rest of the day in the sunny warm late afternoon. Now that Tasha is finally an adult, she was not as aggravating as she use to be on my rock climbing excursions! Anyways the day ended well with six total ascents between Mel and I. Let the good times roll!
Last night after dinner Mel and I met up with friends at the Ore house. Left to right- Carina, Melanie, Saskia, Verena and Nadia talking German jiberous.
Yesterday for dinner Melanie and I road our bikes into the village and ate at Vendettas. Here's a pictures of our dinning view over looking Tasha on Bridge street.
Yesterday when Mel and I got out of work we headed out on our bikes to do Son of Middle Creek. The temperatures were perfect in the later day however the trail were really dusty.
Good Morning to everyone from my work here at the Sonnenalp. The weather cooled off today after the yesterdays hottest day of the season. Denver recorded 100 degrees F and Vail a whooping 80's degrees.
After work yesterday Jeremy, Erik and I went for a ride up Sandstone Road down Buffehr Creek. If you look close enough you can see Erik climbing up the service road.
After spending my day off yesterday indoors because of the rain I finally got out this morning for a bike ride. It was sunny however as I soon found out all the trails were muddy as....
Today after my muddy bike ride on Vail mountain, I took Tasha to the doggy park. Where Tasha and I got to go for a little hike a play a little catch in the park.
Last Tuesday the whole front end department of the Sonnenalp went out for a golf outing on our hotel course in Edwards. It was the first time I went since I was kid. However thanks to my Uncle Frank, his helped me hit a ball like a pro!
I love photography! My wife and I are in the process of launching our own photography career. I work for Todd Winslow Pierce who is a pro photographer here in Vail Colorado. The concept of how I see light has been taught through Todd and the mentors who's influenced him. Through my personal vision and athletic ability I want to showing people how I see translated into a picture. Translating my angle of vision into a picture really is rewarding to me. And I hope in the future I can do the same for you. Stay tuned with my blogger and I will have my new website stocked with great photo's.
